OpenYield, a cutting-edge bond marketplace delivering an equity-like trading experience with leading economics, embarked on a strategic initiative to bolster its technological infrastructure, enhancing security and scalability. This endeavor was aimed at revolutionizing how broker-dealers, advisors, and Fintech companies offer bond investing solutions to their customers by simplifying fixed income investing and providing transparent, economical pricing and a novel approach to liquidity. To meet their stringent requirements for system security and scalability, OpenYield enlisted PREDICTif Solutions to architect and implement a highly secure, well-architected production environment within AWS.
Challenge
Lack of a centralized project management system strained resource allocation and reduced ROI
Dril-Quip’s process needed multiple resources from different teams to produce the product once every month aka time-consuming manual process to answer business questions. Reports were on excel with undocumented business rules under hidden macros. There was a need to standardize the format of the report for easy consumption and delivery. Needed a solution with minimum IT support and initial capital spending on infrastructure.
Strategy and Solution
The solution emphasized encryption, principle of least privilege, proactive monitoring, and comprehensive compliance strategies, utilizing AWS services like AWS CloudTrail, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Managed Grafana, AWS Config, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Network Firewall and AWS WAF to construct a fortified and modernized infrastructure.
